Great chair mat

The first mat I had from another source was absolutely terrible. It had a chemical odor and my chair sank into it. This one that I purchased from Staples is fantastic no odor and it supports my chair just fine. I highly recommend it.

Staples® 45 x 53 High Pile Carpet Chair Mat Lip.

Perfect fit perfect function for my home study. We had just installed deep-pile carpeting in our home and my desk chair was sinking into it in a way that made movement difficult and left deep and unsightly impressions in the carpet. This mat solved both problems!

Chair mat does not work for high pile carpet

This chair mat is supposed to be for a high pile carpet. It does not work because the teeth on the underside of the mat are too short to grip the carpet. With a desk chair on top of the mat the mat slides away from the desk which in turn is wearing on the carpet. The mat was also supposed to be rigid to support the desk chair--it isn't. With little use the mat has indentations from the chair's wheels. This means you have to exert an effort to move the chair out of the rut. We had the chair mat delivered to our home. It came unboxed and unwrapped. UPS did a good job of scratching it and curling it. We are 100% displeased with this product and regret purchasing it sight unseen.

Came in terrible condition

The mat was delivered with shiiping label glued on and was unable to remove completely. The mat was scratched and damaged from just being thrown on the shipping truck. The salesperson told us that if we reordred the next one would come in in the same condition. Seems like Staples does not protect or package large items like this mat they ship. Would not recommend anyone ordering a mat online from Staples.
