Beware of lip dimensions

The lip size is not 20" x 12" It is 25" x 12"

Could have been good

This appears to be a good sturdy mat. It just arrived so iIt's much too early to know about its durability. The problem is I just can't imagine who would decide to glue the eight inch square label on it with permanent glue. We've all dealt with those labels that peel off in tiny curls leaving the bottom layer firmly attached. Well I just spent a half hour with sponges Goof-Off and WD-40 getting it off. Shouldn't be like this. It's a chair mat not a science project. It's not a hard thing to fix.

Very strong and quite adequate although tends to slide a bit on the carpet as the chair is moved about.

This is a thick sturdy mat

I was a bit hesitant to purchase this as folks were reporting it was not stiff enough for a deep carpet. This mat is much stiffer than the last "deep carpet" mat I purchased. I find it to be plenty thick enough for my deep carpet. I'm 250 lbs. and I can roll around easily and sit in one place without the chair wheels leaving any indents.

Mat is too pliable for thick carpet

After searching for a high quality/durable chair mat the Staples Cust Svc Rep recommended this item because it was thicker and less expensive than comparable mats on the website for thick carpet. I ordered it installed it and returned it within 4 days. Mat is not strong enough to support my weight (157 lbs) without creating a depression and aggravation moving the Staple's brand desk chair around on it. Specs look impressive however this is not effective for thick carpet.

Good product

This is the second computer chair mat I have ordered. It's the thickest I can buy without resorting to a metal plate. I have berber carpet with a medium pad underneath so it really isn't that thick. This mat provides good support for about 3 years but then it starts to break down. Cracks appear and about 3 months after that it becomes unusable. That's why I wish this mat was a bit thicker. But it certainly works well for those first 3 years.

It is working great but the big problem with chair mats is they crack over time especially those over carpet. This one is rated for high pile so I am hoping it will be better. Time will tell.
