Pad is too soft. Chair wheels sink into mat and become difficult to move. I mistakenly thought the thicker mil would hold up better.

Paid extra for this mat because it was suppose to be the best for medium thick carpet. There is NO GRIP whatsoever on the back of this mat. Constantly having to slide it back over so my chair wouldn't roll on the carpet. Maybe I move too much but hey carpet mats are supposed to make it easier to use your rollers! The material is very strong but design is bad.

this is exactly what I needed to protect my medium height carpet. The beveled edge removes any tripping risk. I am very happy with the quality and price.

Does not move when you roll your chair.

I have a thick carpet and pad in my office and this pad was said to be build for this type of carpet. I weigh 200 plus pounds and I find it a bit difficult to move my chair around. I actually have another smaller mat on top of the mat I purchased. Doing this makes it possible to roll my chair without too much difficulty. If I did not have the second mat I belieive it would be very difficult to roll the chair at all. I would suggest that you might find a market for a much thicker rigid mat. This the type mat I had and it was very easy to roll the chair. The rigid mat I had was quite heavy and definitely could not be shipped via UPS etc. On the other hand there would not be a need to have two mats so that you can roll your chair easily on plush carpet/pad. As far as recommending it to a friend it is the thickest mat I found but still needs to be thicker and that is why I use two mats stacked together.

So far so good. But the real story will be how long this Chair Mat lasts. My previous chair mats lasted less than one year before cracking and having pieces come completely out of the mat. This mat is made from a different plastic so I am hopeful at this point. Ask me again in May 2016 and I will tell you the "Rest of the Story."

good item although not as sturdy as it looks! it's the 3rd one I bought in 5 years as they crack through to the bottom. Also was told it would come in a box but left on front porch in the rain with no \box.

The chair rolls smoothly.

We recently installed new carpet with thicker pile. The chair at our home computer station was diffical to roll into position. This chair mat solved th problem very nicly. The mat came rolled in a very large box. If you plan on picking it up at the store do not try it with a small car. When we got it home we unrolled it and let it lie flat for a few hours. Once it reached room temperiature we positioned it and it does what we expected. The chair moves smoothly. No dropoffs at the edges and the new carpet showas through. I woulf deffinately recommend this carpet chair mat. We are very satisified.
