The first time this item arrived it was filthy covered in foot prints and not flat. I assumed that must be a mistake so I requested a replacement. The second one came in even worst completely covered in dirt and warped. Unless you pull out a hose (in the middle of winter) it’s nearly impossible to clean the bottom when it’s covered in dirt due to the spikes. And then spoke to customer service who claimed the next replacement would be perfect. Nope. Same thing. It’s completely unacceptable to send your customer an item covered in dirt. Is it so difficult to wrap plastic around this thing so it’s not filthy? Zero stars.

Perfect chair mat

Excellent very sturdy mat with beveled edges. I am 175 pounds and my chair rolls smoothly on it with absolutely NO dimpling or creating "craters" if you sit in one place for a long time. I love the Staples brand design of the prongs; they hold the mat firmly into the carpet without cutting your fingers up when you have to move the mat. Lay it out in the sun on your driveway for about 10 minutes before you bring it inside & it will just "melt" flat for you. Would definitely buy again!!!

You need to really consider your environment when deciding what thickness to order. I misjudged and picked the medium thickness thinking my carpet wasn't as padres as it apparently is. As a result the mat bends under the combine weight of me & my chair & I weigh about 200 pounds so it may cause the mat to fail early. So carefully consider your situation.

I bought this chair mat for my office and it's a bit thinner than expected. When my chair rolls on it it dents in. I'm wondering how long it's going to last if each time I move the mat is flexing into the rug.
