It’s advertised as being good for short and Berber carpet but it’s so thin that once you place a rolling desk chair on it the chair creates huge divets on the pad. After a week it’s the same as my old pad. You have to get up to move the chair and next week I expect it’ll start cracking where the wheels sit. Not satisfied but not surprised.

First this is a good quality chair mat. It's flexible (not stiff) and the cleats don't dig through the carpet and mar the floor like the old-style sharp cleats do. But...it won't stay in place. I am using it exactly as designed - on flat-pile carpet - and it is constantly sliding. I have to re-adjust it at least once per day if not more. I guess if you sat at your desk all day without ever getting up this wouldn't be an issue but most of us don't do that.

I don't think you can find a better priced carpet mat anywhere. The quality is comparable to the price. On thick carpet the mat sinks and chair traces are easily visible.
