This is the second chair mat that we bought they seem very durable. We will probably buy another one soon because we have three office chairs I would recommend this product to friends.

Alright experience

I ordered two of these chair mats. I received them next day like most of my staples orders. I opened up one pulled off the sticker and slapped that baby down on the floor. Bam! Nice job so far. Then I opened up the second box with identical mat in it to reveal it was cracked. There was about a foot long crack near the corner of the mat. I placed the mat back in the large-space consuming box and got on Staples.com. After a quick live chat and the right links I got the mat reported as damaged. I received a UPS label promptly after and have stuck that sucker on the box. Next time UPS comes I am getting rid of the box. The new mat is to arrive in a week. Over all happy with the response I got but also a hassle to have to worry about it in the first place. So far the mats look nice and seem to be able to hold up once safely on the floor.

Until this purchase I hadn't thought about how weather influenced a plastic product like this. The recommendation to let it sit in the room for twenty-four hourse before unrolling it was helpful and made sense. This is quite sturdy plastic and it wou ld have been easy to crack it. Now however I feel confident that it will last well. The lip going under the desk is shallower than I expected (I know - I had the specs and should have realized that ahead) but I think it's going to work fine. .

Solid carpet protector

This is a heavy-duty well made chair mat carpet protector. It is a perfect fit for my "U" shaped desk in my home office. The 46"X60" size provides an excellent amount of protection to the carpet as I roll my chair from the computer monitor area to the work desk section around my home office desk. The material of construction for the chair mat carpet protector is a very heavy-duty vinyl or plastic material that should provide a long life. Although the chair mat is flexible the edges of it will not curl-up when it is installed.

Staples Flat Pile Carpet Mat

Great for office or home. Protects your carpeting from excessive wear and tear. Good size for office chairs. Would have wished it were a bit thicker but for my purpose it is OK. Does not seem to crack slightly pliable.
