Bent up chair mats

our flat plastic chair mats we ordered online (3) were shipped NOT FLAT...even tho we bought flat ones at local store and their shipment also came in a lg. flat cardboard box. The online ones looked like a monkey packed it or delivered it. It was not even rolled in a roll (like carpet might be) or at least once we got it it wasn't. It was bent like a caterpillar. There is no way they would ever flatten out to a flat position so we had to return them to local store. That part of process was awesome(5 star) as were the original sales people!! Easy return credit able to look up receipt based on credit card date very willing etc. I bought nine from local store (bought them out) which is why we ordered online for other 3 but we'll wait for truck to come to local store and stay local on this type of product. Then it will look like a flat mat instead of a burrito! thanks!
The chair mat is too flexible and moves around on the carpet when the chair is rolled. When the chair is sat on the rollers leave indentations and it is like trying to roll out of a rut.
The mat came in a day. No box it just had a sticker. That's OK because it's tougher than any packing material. I didn't think I had a high pile carpet but it does have a thick underlayment. The old mat just disintegrated but this one probably won't.
CAUTION: Be prepared to work on this before using!

This item had a great price and was shipped on time however... It is rolled up and taped into a cylinder shape for shipping and delivery. The tape that was used on the mat is supersticky and when it is removed ALL of the adhesive stuck to the surface of the mat. Can't be pulled or scraped off - no matter how hard I tried there was significant sticky residue left. I used over a half a bottle of GooGone and almost an hour trying to remove the remains of the adhesive without damaging the mat. It never completely went away but the area where it's not perfectly smooth isn't causing a functional problem so far. Also though I followed the directions for measuring the carpet pile and thought I ordered the right one it still moves around on the carpet a lot. SUMMARY: If you don't mind spending significant time and money before being able to figure out whether you've ordered the right product then this might be worth getting.
