We just purchased these chair mats that were made to be put on top of a carpet but we have had them in the past and they last about 3 years.

It wasn't what i expected. I have low pile but the mat wasn't firm enough for me to roll on. But Staples took back the mat with no question. Good service.

This certainly worked fine for our purposes! Needed to protect new laminate flooring and used this for the desk area. So far so good.

This is the second one of these mats I have purchased and have been very satisfied with the performance. The previous one lasted several years. No damage to the carpet underneath and it lets my chair move around easily.

This mat is too thin desk chair legs sink into the ma t making it almost impossible to move the chair.You have to grab the desk and pull yourself out of the indentations.
