I am glad to have found the size I sought in a chair mat but the grips on its underside do not hold its position as securely as the mat I had before.

Expensive and won't stay in place

Mat is described as "for medium pile carpet" but the anchoring spikes are not aggressive enough to hold it in place. Almost seems like they changed the sharpness and length of the anchoring spikes for safety reasons but in doing so reduced the effectiveness of the anchors. Doubt this mat would stay put on ANY length of carpet. Other than that the mat is well made and looks okay. But not worth $80.

You wouldn't think it would make that big of a difference but when I spent a lot (for me anyway) on a new office chair I don't want the casters destroyed by hardwood floor. This mat works perfectly.
