Compact economical way to store records

I have been buying these for years and love them for my yearly bills and tax records. I have many standing files but the expanding case is the one that always gets my stuff.

Staples 19 pocket expanding case file

Documents and forms were very organized and easy to access in this expanding folder. Traditional expanding folders close up on themselves and also the flap interferes with easy access. This folder keeps documents easy to access and remove by eliminating obstructions.

Inexpensive filing for occasional use.

Not the best quality but for the price the organizer is a good option for occasional home use. From filing basic paperwork to organizing appliance manuals and other home receipts these organizers serve their purpose.

It's a tax box.

This is adequate for what I need--tax record and health care receipts in addition to general organization. We get a new one every year for our records. Not too much you can do to spiff up an accordion file. Be careful though--look at the glue lines that hold the accordion file to the front and back of the box. I've had a couple that the glue was too thin making the file box keep falling apart (to fix it you have to take everything out to reglue ruining your organization). Also check the front side--if it's bowed in even a little you won't be able to use the twist lock easily which is really annoying.

Meets my needs

I purchase one of these file organizers annually to keep documents that I may need at a later time. I change the title of the sections to suit my needs. This is easy to do and only takes about five minutes.

EXCELLENT TAX DOCUMENT FILE
on January 14, 2014

I have been purchasing expandable accordian style files from Staples for several years now. I use them to collect my receipts and important tax documents. The legal size file is perfect for me and one file holds all my papers for a full year. The files that are 5 to 10 years old still look new on the outside and even though this is a paper product it does not appear to deteriorate over time. The Staples branded folders are as good or better than other manufacturers of these products. I recommend them to my family as the best way to keep the original backup papers that are entered in Quicken. At tax preparation time these folders and Quicken reports make filing out tax forms much easier and more reliable than any other system I have used or have seen others use. An excellent investment at a very low cost.
