REALLY is only 40"h INCLUDING the bristle part

The reviewers that said that this is not a "Standard" broom are correct. It is 40" high from top of handle to bottom of the bristles. The broom portion is also narrower than a standard broom. I actually WAS looking for an inexpensive short wood handled bristle broom that would be suitable for use as a "real" (toy) broom for a 2 1/2 year old. This totally fits the bill. If you are looking for an inexpensive real broom for normal height adults (I'm 5'1" and it was short even on me) this is NOT the broom for you. But at $5 it's a great alternative to the overpriced brooms sold online for toddlers/kids. I gave it as part of a Xmas present for a toddler who was being given the "play" kitchen appliances shopping cart etc. For that purpose at this price it was great. If it had been sold as a real broom for little kids I would have rated 5 stars. I rated only 3 stars bec the description of "standard" is misleading even with the description that it is 40 inches with an 8 inch broom.

This is false advertising the images show a 40 Inch handle and an 8 inch straw broom which would make a "standard "as the title says broom. The whole broom is 40 inches barely more than three feet. This is a waste of money.
