I bought these to store my previous year’s paperwork in. I use a plastic filing box with hanging files to file my current year’s paid bill statements bank statements and the like. Then after the new year starts I remove my papers from the plastic filing box which are filed alphabetically and put them into one of these more compact expanding files which has alphabetized slots. Several of these can then be stored one plastic file box. These are sturdy as well as handy because you don’t have to put alphabetized tabs on them.
Like this size of expandable to hold my TAX documents. Cover folds back to provide easy access throughout the year and then secures well for long term storage.
My previous Staples purchases of the expanding file included a flap that closed the file. Maybe I missed that one on the shelf. If not I hope that the flap will be re-introduced.
It let's me review what comes in daily and file in it's own set of "Important" files to get reviewed and file group and a second set of "Schedule As Time Permits" files. Keeps me from just stacking items into piles. Works for me!
Does what it is supposed to. It’s sturdy enough too. So far no problems what so ever. Gave it 5 stars because since it hasn’t come unglued or refused to open there seems nothing bad to say.

The ‘Letha-Tone’ is not quite as strong and durable as my old ‘PendaFlex’ was….nor did it have as many pockets. I would certainly not recommend this product over the PendaFlex comparable…...
