We already have one chair mat that has worked great but need a second one. We bought this without much research and unfortunately it moves slowly across the carpet and the wheels on the chair leave indentations in the plastic. I needed to buy a sturdier one that had spikes to hang onto the carpet.

Not Sooooo Fast.....

Ordered this product online for next day delivery. Product came on time but the heat in the delivery truck warped this product into a pile of plastic. When you place an order for this or other chair mats SPECIFY that the product is ROLLED UP for transit-it takes less space on the truck and it won't get damaged. I had to take a hair dryer to this item to flatten it out-what I gained in delivery time; I lost in remediation of the item which took 3 days. Just saying-it pays to package it right for transit.

I am very disappointed with this chair mat. I'd like to return it for full credit. It's too thin so it's not strong enough to prevent the castors of my chair from making large depressions. Then when I try to move my chair it is 'stuck' in the depressions. I expected a good quality chair mat that's strong and thick enough to allow my chair to roll freely on it. The only good thing about this mat is its size but its weakness prevents it from serving the desired purpose.

Heavier weight carpet chair mat

Just what we needed-the heavier weight thicker mat does not get divots in it from the wheels on the chairs and should last a long time. Very pleased.

The Staples Carpet Berbercmat Chair Mat I recently bought and was asked to review is a total disappointment. It is a chair mat and it looks and a like a chair mat. That's where the good news ends. At 180 lbs I don't consider myself inordinately heavy. This mat is on tight Berber carpeting and the mat is so soft the wheels and on my chair sink into the "plastic" (or whatever the Berber mat is made of) making it difficult for me to roll my chair around on it. This happens after sitting for minutes not hours. I have a bad back and don't want my chair to "stick" to my chair mat. That's exactly what this mat does the wheels compress the mat which keeps them from rolling causing my whole body to be stopped when I try to move and that's painful. 😣 It may be a great mat for a solid floor. ANYTHING with ANY give to it will make the chair "stick" unless you weigh a lot less (no clue how much 150 130 110 ... ?). 👎
