However I'm a big guy ~280lbs. The BIG and HEAVY 5-wheel desk chair doesn't roll as well due to the flexibility of the mat. I kind have to push the chair out of the indentations to move the chair after sitting a while in one spot. Otherwise this mat is GREAT. I have an 88-key music keyboard adjacent to desk and I can roll either way to work or play. I just have to push a little harder to get going. Will have to use this for a few years to tell how the wear and tear is. But the specs say this is a thicker material so I'm hoping it will bear up to my demanding activity.
This mat was exactly what I was looking for to smooth my "ride" now that I'm working from home and have to get up and down from my chair many many times a day. Much easier on my back and it's barely visible. My only caveat is that it came rolled up (understandably) and after I removed the heavy-duty scotch tape holding it in a roll I have not been able to get rid of the tape's stickiness which sticks to my shoe every time I walk over it. I've tried a sponge with boiling water and many attempts with Goo-Gone to no avail!
I wanted a stiffer mat this one came rolled up and it’s more flexible than I needed. It’s placed on carpet and “dents” where the chair rollers are. Since it was ordered on line and delivered I just kept it. Next time I go into the store and buy the right thing.
The carpet chair mat is too thin and flimsy. I have a small-size office chair on rollers and the rollers have already made deep dents in the carpet chair mat. I had the old one for more than 20 years without this problem. I would gladly have paid more for a mat that works.
I should have listened to the review where they said the wheels sank into the plastic. It's just as hard to slide forward with the mat as it was on the carpet. I would not recommend this product. Product is too thin.
