The mat works really well and is much better quality than the original one I purchased. Scott was very helpful helping me pick it out and he even carried it to my car. I would recommend the mat to anyone who wants to protect wsomewhat deep pile carpets.

Works pretty good. Stays in place on top of my 3/4 in carpet but it is a little less than 53 inches. I also have 2 legs of my computer table sitting on it so that might be why it is staying in place. Would I buy this product again? Yes!

I gave it a 4 Star because I felt that the lip that goes under the desk could have been a little longer. I had to trim the sides to make it longer so it would fit properly. Otherwise it’s fine.

We have purchased 3 different mats unaware they all had the same problem. We live in a new build home and were told to use the high pile carpet mat. Unfortunately it's still flimsy and so thin that even just the weight of our commercial office chair leaves indentations in it. When a person sits in the chair on the mat you sink into the mat so much you have difficulty rolling out of the sunken spot. I guess my husband will have to invent his own mat that isn't so cheaply made... We will be returning it.

Go heavy duty

I would suggest going with the heavy duty mat even if you have a low pile carpet (as I do). They all wear out eventually but the thicker one is worth the difference in my opinion.
