I got the clear plastic mat and it's fine. But I may get one of the colored ones to use over the beige carpet and put the first one in another room.

Over the years we have purchased this same mat from Staples. Each mat has exceeded my greatest expectations. For the price paid you get real value and believe me I am a careful shopper. The clear vinyl mats are almost invisible so the rug shows through nicely. The edges sink into the carpeting so there is no tripping. Very fluid fit. I have this mat in two desk areas of my home and bought one for my son's office as well. If you have any doubt about purchasing this product be assured you will not be disappointed. We haven't been. I like them better than the bamboo because they are less expensive you don't notice them and they last just as long. At least they have for me.

For me this is a great size for the space that I have as I have a corner desk. I like it. It is a nice heavy weight and great quality. They tend to wear out sooner here in Arizona but that has nothing to do with the great quality. This is the second chair mat that I have purchased from Staples and was very happy with the first one. I will purchase my third one from Staples when the time comes. I highly recommend Staples for all of your office needs supplies and much more. Great place to send faxes and have copies made. Delivery on mail order items is super fast. Great place to shop.

This product is a poor one

This product makes a big deal about how good it adheres to carpeting. Except it does not. Product moves backward about one to one and a half inches each day from the motion of the desk chair atop it. At the end of a week the product is eight to ten inches back from where it was at the beginning of the week.
