Wondered if it would be noticeable on top of my rug in our home office. Hardly see it at all. I'm very pleased.

Got this chair mat to go with the awesome chair we bought for my dad. Mat wasn't quite as thick as I hoped it would be so even though it does work well so far the chair wheels still make a bit of a divot in the mat making it a little less than ideal for my elderly father. It is however much better than he had before (cheapo chair that had fallen apart with no chair mat at all for the carpet). He's happy though especially with the chair (which is super comfy and easy to operate). If I had it to do over again I might buy a little thicker mat. However I went with price... (Yeah I know you get what ya pay for...)

I have just installed a new wood floor. The clear mat protects this floor from damage from the wheels of my rolling office chair.
