CHAIR MAT

This chair mat was what the doctor ordered! For the longest time I had been using an old cotton-based rug in my home office to cushion my rolling chair (purchased at Staples) from the extremely aged carpet in an old bedroom I converted into a library-office for projects underway once I retired. It was a constant struggle to keep the rug from bunching up as well as keeping the carpet properly cleaned. I was told that one or two more machine washes of the mat would result in its disintegration lol! Not only is the rug still usable I can now smoothly move the chair in the office with ease! Thank you.

Delivery was the issue: It was scheduled to be delivered on a Wednesday which worked with my M-W office hours. Online it had very confusing details as to its location on that day. I even called our post office thinking it was dropped there. Day ended with no knowledge of where it was. I happened to be in the office on Friday to do payroll since the following Monday was a holiday. While preparing to leave a delivery man came in and had the mat filthy with shoe prints all over it. He apologized for the dirty mat stating it had been lost in his warehouse for a couple of days and was to have been delivered already. As for the product itself.... it wasn't the "lip" I was expecting. While it wasn't a sharp squared off edge the better description for what it does have is 'rounded edges' as a lip to me would me would have been more of a gradual drop from top to bottom of the edge.

Office Mat

I have purchased this item at the store about a week ago While i was buying that item in the store everyone working were very helpful and i was very happy when i left. I am thankful that i purchased this item and when i brought it home i put in my office and now it is one of the most useful things i have. It doesn't ruin my carpet from the chair wheels and protects the carpet from being in the way for the chair from go from one side to another. I am just very happy i had a coupon to buy this item for such a great price.

I use in my home office on low pile carpet. They last about 2 years then end up cracking. But it saves the carpet.

Does the Job

The mat works great. It does the job on a combination wood and carpet surface. It is just a big piece of plastic so I can't rave about it

No More Divots

After reading other reviews I was a little concerned about ordering this product BUT I have been using it for a little over a week now and I think it is absolutely great. I needed to replace an old mat that my chair wheels kept making little divots in. I couldn't roll the chair easily. This mat has totally solved that problem! No more divots. My chair rolls easily even after not moving it around for long periods of time. I have about 1" thick carpet/pad and every other mat I have tried has sunk into the carpet. This mat is thick enough that it doesn't sink. Some of the other reviews have said they had problems getting the mat to stay in place. I don't seem to have that problem. The grips on the bottom stuck to the carpet nicely and the mat has not moved from where I put it down. One note of caution though...This is a thick mat. Make sure you order a size that you will not have to "trim".

I've ordered this item in the past. As with most plastic mats they do deteriorate over time so they do have to be replaced. The only complaint is the mats were very dirty upon delivery. Not sure if the delivery person is to blame or what but I had to scrub them before I could use the mat. Otherwise no other issues.
