I bought these for my son so that he can glue papers into his subject notebooks for school. Honestly I cannot tell the difference between these glue sticks and Elmer's glue sticks. They have a very strong bond with the paper and the purple helps him know where glue has already been placed. i have been very impressed with the Staples version of these glue sticks and would recommend them to anyone.

so you buy in bulk because it's cheaper. but these don't stick around for long. not sure about how it lasts holding things together because i use this to close invoice envelopes. (they go out and don't come back.) but after a while the glue stick shrinks to almost half the volume and it gets very gummy/gooey sort of like caramel/taffy. harder to work with.

Glue sticks are a wonderful creation. The washable glue sticks are even a better variety. What an easy way to include younger kids in arts and craft projects that normally would e a real mess using craft glue from a bottle. They are dry as soon as you use them. Projects stay in place with out waiting to move on to the next part of the project. In my office I use glue sticks for sewing patterns dry envelopes and stamps and numerous other odds and ends. I always have at least 6 or 8 of them hanging around. At staples price you can afford to share with needs school students.

This product works extremely well for Grade 3 students and up. Kids love when they can see where they've applied the glue and then are amazed when it dries clear. Product does not dry out if gluestick is rolled back down and cap is put on completely.
