They were very hard to open. Once I figured out how to get the cap off they were OK. In the future I would use a different brand.

While I thankfully haven't had to test the washability of these glue sticks they worked for my high school students' poster projects and I heard no complaints from them about their quality.

First rate glue sticks

Staples washable glue sticks are a must have at home and in the office. For my convenience I place them in several office drawers and in craft area bins. They are economical and easy to use. I make my own greeting cards and have found Staples washable glue sticks work the best. I frequently use them to seal envelopes and often use them to stick old stamps on a letter. I also like them because the glue left behind is easy to clean up. I damp cloth cleans residual glue from the work area nicely. I look forward to my next project using Staples washable glue sticks.
