The #8 double window envelopes are perfect for my needs. What I do not like is walking into the Staples store near me only to find that the box of envelopes is priced significantly higher than the on line price. Very irritating as the cashier does not know what I am talking about when I explain. Case in point: I bought a box of #8 double window envelopes at the store for $45.?? I went home and bought 2 boxes of the same for $50.??!! So Ii returned the single box. Irritating!!

Smaller in size than before

These envelopes are smaller than the previous box I purchased. They have the same product number. I guess it's like everything else out there for sale where the size has been reduced. Very disappointed as checks are a much smaller fit in the envelopes now.

I started using the Staples #8 5/8 Check-Size Double Window Security-Tint Gummed Envelopes 500/box a couple of months ago. They have held up very well. I use them for my payroll checks as well as my vendor checks. Sometimes I have to leave paychecks outside in a locker for our employees to pick up and even when it rains non-stop for a week the envelopes seem to hold up very well preserving the paychecks without extensive damage. Of course they are not being rained on but the humidity is harsh.

About half of the windows on the envelopes were stuck to the the inside of the envelope! I had to throw them away because when I peeled them off it would wreck the envelope. Was not happy

These envelopes are so easy to use and they fit our computer-printed checks which is great because I don't have to write checks by hand OR address the envelopes. The price is not too bad as there are 500 in a box.
