Inconsistency in "quick strips"

Used product to enclose reunion invitations. Two boxes I assumed to be the same one had easy to remove quick strips and the other box had quick strips that refused to come off on one end without leaving some strip on envelope.

Usually I have no complaints with the self-sealing envelopes. The last purchase was different: Inside of the envelope a low corner was "glue-shot" and had to be carefully loosened in order to fit the content. A quality control issue!
