The paper is very thin and has no foil lining. The greeting card can actually be seen through the paper. Greeting cards should have a more substantial envelope.

Because I am rapidly aging and do not drive anymore I sent my daughter to pick up mailing envelopes for my Christmas greeting. When I opened the boxes to use them I was DELIGHTED that I did not have to moisten the flap but simply peel the paper to make it stick! KUDOS to STAPLES that has served me well for over 50 years!
