OK but moves

This chair mat works well in protecting the carpet but every 2 days I have to re-position it. The mat tends to move 4" - 8" (primarily back away from the desk) after a couple of days of sitting in and moving the desk chair backwards in order to stand up. If that won't bother you it works very well.

I replaced the previous pad because it had cracked in many places under the chair. The new pad seems thinner than the last one so I expect it will fail sooner.

I bought this specifically for my carpet because it said it can be used for carpet/padding up to 1” in thickness. The grooves on the underside of this mat are about 1/4” in depth which provides no real relief to the carpet it’s on. The mat itself indents along with the carpet when I’m using my chair on it.

Mat started cracking about 2 months after we got it. Staples wouldn't exchange it because i lost my receipt. So now it just cracks and pops whenever I roll on it.
