Staples® 45 x 53 High Pile Carpet Chair Mat Review

I recently purchased this chair mat and the only issue that I see is that the wheels of my chair makes indentations in the mat almost immediately. This makes it more difficult for the chair to roll on the mat. The indentations do disappear when chair is not in use. This mat is for High Pile Carpet and was surprised that it does this.

The chair mat was left in my carport all crumpled up. I allowed it to lay flat for five days before installing it. The edges would not lie flat and I kept tripping on them. The chair wheels would indent in the mat making it difficult to roll. Very disappointed.

It creates dents where the wheels of the chair are. I have looked every where and it seems that nobody carryout when that really is good for thick carpets. Maybe that would be my invention to bring to the Shark Tank.

If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate. Problem is that the plastic is soft and very pliable. The wheels of the desk chair sink in and form a deep pocket very quickly Then attempting to roll the desk chair to another position it's stuck in the pockets so moving takes more effort that anticipated. Many Years ago I purchased another high-end mat for my wife's desk I might have purchased it from Staples. It is over the same carpet: no issues; stable; no cracks; and flat.
