It's thin so chair "ruts" occurred within my first sitting of several hours during tax prep. (UGH!) If you move the chair around they dissipate somewhat. But since I'm able to roll out of them and maybe it'll save the carpet it's probably ok for the price. Higher price will get you a thicker mat but I didn't want to go that high.

Not necessarily the products failure. After one floor mat returned that was recommended by the store (one for wood floor even though I told the salesperson I had carpet) this product was recommended instead. But it too does not work with my carpet. Should have been one for thicker carpet. Perhaps the store didn't have the one I should have and so they sold this one. NOT HAPPY !!!

This fits well under my desk and does a great job protecting the carpet from my desk-chair's wheels. I do wish I had bought a larger size but that's not the manufacturer's or the retailer's fault - I would just recommend that you measure the area you want covered BEFORE buying this type of product to make sure you get the best size.
