Doesn’t work well with carpet. The chair sinks in and it’s tough to move the chair around. I should have purchased one better suited for carpet. If you have carpet don’t purchase this product. This is best on a flat surface like tile or laminate flooring.

I've had this chair mat for a few days now and am using it on 3/8" Berber carpet which is what it's designed for. With my standard 5 caster office chair the wheels sink down into the plastic creating indentations. This makes the chair hard to roll around in as you have to get out of the wheel holes first. I'm not sure of this will affect the life of the mat. I expected it to be a bit sturdier. BTW I'm a 160 lb guy. Not a heavyweight.
