I’m disappointed with this mat. In only a week deep grooves have formed where my chair wheels rest. So now I cannot roll the chair around my desk smoothly I have to actually pick up a chair leg to roll it out of its rut. Think I need to return this.

It’s not as thick as I expected so with how plush my carpet is my chair doesn’t roll as easily. BUT it’s better than being stuck in the carpet and not able to move. I’m satisfied.

"Extra carpet" chair mat

It may protect the carpet but its thickness (or thinness) allows it to compress into the carpet and thus makes rolling the chair around tough - i.e. the chair casters get hung up in the divots . . . or maybe I'm just too fat!
