The one mat that we got does work as designed. I think based on our carpet and chair we should have purchased the heavier duty mat.

Mat was fine - they way it was received was bad. Whomever decided it was a good idea to roll up and use shipping tape didn't have to spend an hour removing the tape glue using lacquer thinner.
