I can't complain about thickness as I use this over indoor/outdoor carpet and it works well on my not so plush surface. Looks great.

A Well Made Product

This is a well made quality product. Unfortunately it slides on tiled floor. I've had to anchor it down with heavy boxes under my desk to prevent it from sliding around (which was the primary reason for buying the mat in the first place).

The chair mat arrived rolled up and taped with cellophane tape. The chair mat flattened very quickly probably because it is so thin but it took me an hour to remove the sticky tape. The chair mat immediately developed deep indentations over-night under the wheels of my office chair without me sitting in the chair. (FYI: My office chair is not heavy and neither am I and my carpet is less than 3/4 inch thick.) Sitting at my desk all day the deep indentations makes it very difficult to move my chair out of the indentations. This "extra-high pile carpet" chair mat is worse than the cheaper chair mats I've had in the past. It certainly is not worth the cost.

This fits well under my smaller desk. If my chair rolls off it it is easy to get back on it. I like its flexibility.

We use the mat for our Chair where the computer is located. It will be taking a beating. Appears to work for our needs.

Sinks into the Carpet

Even though this chair mat is designated as being for plush carpeted floors up to 3/4" thick the chair rollers sink into the carpet making it hard to roll the chair around. Stuck in a rut. At least I expect it to protect the carpet. I would have gotten the thickest one availabled but it's too large for the area.
