Just as advertised

I'm using this mat under a large heavy swivel desk chair and it performs perfectly while looking nice and is relatively inconspicuous. it stays put and doesn't curl up. The chair rolls easily on it. My only complaint is that I bought it online and had it shipped to the local store where it arrived tightly rolled and encircled 2X with wide clear plastic tape of the kind used to seal cartons for shipping. It was nearly impossible to get the tape off requiring a half-hour of picking and scraping. There has to be a better way. Somebody in the shipping department should be wrapped in that stuff and hung up to dry!

Smooth Rolling

The mat is just as described and protects the carpet. Our old mat was for a lower pile carpet and had been broken up by the rollers of the desk chair. This mat is designed to prevent the chair from depressing under the weight of the chair. From the very beginning the mat laid flat since it was shipped flat and not rolled up in a box. We are very pleased with the Medium Pile Carpet Chair Mat.

It is a chair mat. As chair mats go it is a very good chair mat (also quite cheap). Oh yes it arrived very quickly!

I don't like the fact it does not stay in place. Just about every time I stand up from my chair I have to pull the mat back and place it back in line.

Too soft chair can't roll. Mat may be mislabeled for carpet depth

This chair mat rated for carpet + pad up to 3/4 inch should be down with the those rated for 1/8 inch combination. The mat is very soft. The chair wheels make deep dents in it even when the chair is not occupied. Once seated I cannot move the chair w/o great effort. Such effort could cause me to come out of the chair - it takes that much pushing or pulling on adjacent furniture to move the chair. It is a hazard and will be returned for one that is more firm. Previous two mats both purchased from Staples did not have this problem and they were less expensive.
