I bought this for my office which has hardwood floors. It was delivered quickly and was flat which I didn't expect. It doesn't move at all on the hardwood and I'm not really very careful. This has been a great purchase would purchase again if I needed another one.

I purchased this mat based on the thickness description on web site. I have indoor/outdoor pile carpet but it’s on 3/8” padding. Sitting in one place for any period of time causes dents under the wheels of the chair. Another issue is that the underside is robbed and slides around. The ten year old chair pad I’m replacing had pointed nibs which kept it in place. I can’t recommend nor advise against it. I will be returning the mat for a replacement or refund. It may be usable on a different type of carpet. Might be better for someone weighing 150 or less.

Material was actually thicker than I expected and feels very durable. Stiff at first and I was worried it would stay rigid but flattened out fully after a day or so. I have my chair in an area with both a rug and hardwood floor and this has saved the floors and made moving around my desk much easier.
