Exactly what to expect.

This is the second time I have purchased this item. The original lasted over 3 before it started to crack. I have a very soft carpet so I feel it lasted as long as it should have especially for the price. If your rug is fairly thin then I would expect this chair mat will last longer than the 3 years mine did. The price had remained the same when I purchased it for a second time so it was a no brainer. If you are looking for a decent chair mat thats under $50 then this is definitely your choice a solid mat for a good price.

Material is not beefy enough so the chair sinks in and then you have to stand up to move the chair. Material should be harder plastic. or I guess I could be lighter. Sorry now that I bought it. But it's too late. I own it.

The floor mat works but not on household carpet. It is very soft and the chair leaves indents on the mat which makes it hard to move around on. Not sure that I would buy this again.

I have been using these mats for many years and now I have been able to choose the exact depth for my rugs. Great fit. Don't last forever but well worth the price -- I just wish they were easier to carry. Luckily this time I was getting a furniture delivery from Staples so Staples made them easy to carry up to my home office.
