Expensive but looks sturdy. Product tag left very sticky hard to remove residue.

Poor Construction and Materials
on February 9, 2017

The price point of this mat is ideal and it fit well in our home office. However after about one year cracks started to appear from normal use and eventually these turned to chunks of varying sizes and shapes that popped off the mat. The material does not appear to be very strong and did breakdown over time. My current mat is of a much harder material and seems to be ok.
The items I purchased are exactly what I was looking for

I Should Have Bought The Right Product
on December 7, 2016

I purchased this carpet protector without paying enough attention to the thickness of my carpeting. The product says "low pile" but my carpet pile is thicker. Thicker pile can make a protector flex too much and wear out the plastic. Also where the chair casters sit a depression forms in the plastic that keeps the caster from rolling freely. I need to put some thin board under my protector to prevent this. Otherwise the protector looks good.

REPLACED TWICE

This is the second mat I have to replace. Each one has lasted a little over 1 year before having many cracks and a large hole in the middle. [...]. The manufacturer website was not helpful in obtaining a replacement. I guess I'll spend 2x as much for one that might not break.

Just What I Needed

I had a carpeted area in front of my desk and I was ruining the rug by rolling over the edge of the persian rug. The mat immediately solved the problem. The area under my desk is wood and the mat had no problem transitioning from the rug to the wood. It looks and feels robust and I am confident that I will get several years of use out of the mat. Your catalog should give the thickness of the mat and the lengths of the pegs that grip the rug (I would estimate the grip peg lengths as 1/8" and the thickness as 3/32")
