I always enjoy a new chair-mat so I am still enjoying this great new one and sadly for me but great for Staples it will eventually begin to crack just like the others and I will replace it. Sort of how cars are made to become extinct in a few years. So I really love my "new" chair-mat!
The mat does not work as expected and I do not weight more than 190 lbs. The carpet was measured before I purchased and my chair sinks into the mat. Not happy.
I am very satisfied with this mat. The medium pile seems to have the appropriate thickness needed for the carpet in my office which has thicker carpet. Seems like it will hold up well and a good value for the quality.
It was delivered in a tube but unfortunately it was wrapped with the rough side out. It will not lay flat after using it for 2 weeks. The quality seems nice so I will return for an even exchange.
The label attached to the mat was very hard to remove. Had to use a hair dryer to melt it a bit before it could be scraped off. A sticky residue was left which also had to be cleaned off. Time consuming. Despite thickness of the mat chair wheels sink into it some what which may make it difficult to move the chair without standing up first. Inconvenient.
I was looking for a firmer thicker mat for under the desk chair opted for this one. It's okay. I can wheel around generally but it does seem sort of "giving". I find my chair winds up with wheels holed into little "divots" where the mat deflects making it harder to apply some lateral force and roll out of them and laterally along the mat once again. Well okay so I'll use it until it break up then try another one....
