My package was smashed when i received it. I wasn't too upset about that. But later when I cleaned my office and got it ready to put the mat down I found the mat also broken in pieces. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning and don't have time for that. Mat wasn't protected in the box at all.
A reasonably priced unit well constructed and made to fit that allows a office chair to manuver so that the person using it has good position at his work station. Definitely worth the cost.

Do Not Buy This Product

This product started cracking only a few months after it was purchased. It lasted less than a year.
I bought one of these 6+ years ago when we moved into a new house. It got a lot of use but finally started to wear out after all that time so decided to buy a new one. As far as I am concerned it is well worth it. Nice and thick and solid. It does a very good job of protecting the carpeting. Had it delivered along with some other things and the driver was very friendly and helpful.

Won't Lie Flat

I picked up the chair mat at a Staples store and it was not stored well. The mat was bent in addition to being rolled up. The sales person said to put it in the sun to flatten it but that was not an option because it is winter. The label said it would be more pliable after 24-48 hours which wasn't what happened. I used different objects to get it flat. After a week there still are some edges with curves to them--not much but enough to raise hem off the carpet. This might be a little dangerous for people walking by. The mat itself is very nice and if the edges lose their curve over time I will be very happy with the it. It's ok for now.
