Ordering transaction processing and delivery were outstanding! The product itself left much to be desired. I carefully checked product specs and my carpet depth before ordering and felt assured it met my carpet was within the product stated parameters. I had previously ordered a similar product from a competitor and was disappointed that the chair rollers created dents making it impossible to roll the chair across the mat. Unfortunately this mat responded similarly after working in one position for only about 20 minutes. I only weigh 175 lbs and my carpet depth was within the specs of the product use claims so I'm disappointed and returning the mat. The mat woul be great on very low pile or commercial office carpet.

Pulse and Minuses The Plus is it is a thicker product and I hope I get a few years before it cracks. Shipping was horrible promised Tuesday. ..No Then Wednesday...No Email and auto phone notices of delay. I was Finally able to make inquiries by calling the return shipment number. Don't call on after hours because you just get sent to a dead line. When I got someone Thursday during business hours they told me the driver tried to drop off on Wednesday at 4:45. Well I was there all day. Left the release note so I would get it dropped of Later that day. Even though I was home. No packaging and Invoice "glued" to mat. Very hard to remove as it was wet from the weather and in fact it is still on matt as it won't peel off in 1 piece. For a high pile product the nubs that hold it in place are highly inadequate. 1/8" deep and not even pointed just ¼" bars. The matt will move Very disappointed but didn't see a better option. The last one I got a few years back was thinner but at least it didn't move The nubs were dangerous as they were so sharp it just cracked after a year or so. Don't count on a convenient guarantee process when it does crack.

Mat Doesn't Slip on Thick Carpet

I had another mat that would continually slip into my desk peg and get warped on the side this mat is great at staying in place!

Not as heavy as I expected

This plastic is not a heavy as I expected though heaver than the one it is replacing. The old one cracked from flexing that chair rollers caused. I expect the same thing will happen with this one We don't have Extra High carpet and the chair roller still dent it. they recover from the dent but so did the old one that cracked from the same caause.

Right size for large based desk chair and high pile carpet. Time will tell if the product lasts. Looking for at least a 5 year ware before failure due to the expense.

My old chair mat had so many cracks in it and pieces missing that I desperately needed a new one. So far this chair mat from Staples is working wonderfully! I like that I can glide my chair on it easily and not get stuck in cracks.

Go heavy duty

I would suggest going with the heavy duty mat even if you have a low pile carpet (as I do). They all wear out eventually but the thicker one is worth the difference in my opinion.

Not sturdy

I ordered this mat because it said it was for high pile carpet which I have in my at-home office. I weigh 195 lbs and my chair has 6 casters on it. Within an hour of sitting in my chair the mat already had big indentations from the chair casters. Doesn't seem like this mat is going to work. Maybe for lighter people it would but it's not going to work in my case.
