Could be better

I bought this chair mat as a replacement for another that I had purchased from Staples. The prior mat lasted about two years. That's about all I expect out of this one. It needs to be a bit thicker as it develops indentations where the chair wheels tend to come to rest. This leads to the chair wheels rolling to the same spot and eventually cracking and failure of the mat.

I had purchased a lower pile one and it walked all over my carpet. This one stays put. Should have purchased it in the first place.

If you use your desk on a daily basis go for the "high pile" version of a chair mat. This one looks like it will hold up. The "low usage" version fell apart in a few months. So far so good on this one.

Love this Chair mat!!

I Love this chair mat. This replaced the same chair mat that I had for 5 years. Out of all the chair mats I have tried from Staples this one has held up the longest. Ordered this online as they don't carry this in the stores. Laid down flat upon delivery. This mat also carries a Life time warranty which they will replace 1 time. Must keep your receipt for the warranty. Highly recommend!!

My carpet is not really

My carpet is not really what I would call a high pile one but a med. one as it is not the best quality of carpeting. I was looking for a mat that had a bigger lip than the #29.00 one as the wheels of my chair dug into the mat. This mat that I purchased I will say the wheels of the chair does not dig into the mat itself but it does slide as the bottom spikes are not long enough to hold it straight. Like I said my carpet is not a high pile one but medium with padding underneath it. I cannot afford to pay more for the mat than I already have to me it was too expensive to others it would be nothing but being on a budget makes a difference. Over all it is a good mat but disappointed that it slips on the carpet.

Thick and solid

I had ordered a different mat that over time cracked under my office chair wheels. I realized that I hadn't measured the depth of my carpet correctly (didn't include the pad) and ordered this mat to replace. This one is thicker and more solid and feels like it will last a long time. It arrived slightly bent but I flattened it with some heavy boxes in about a day.
