Working great so far. Had to order it on-line but it is much thicker and stronger than the regular ones found in the store which don't hold up on carpet. Time will tell whether this one holds up but it's working great so far.

Gets the Job Done

Standard chairmat for heavy use. I've yet to experience a problem with it. But I'm also waiting to see if it gets the fissures that the other one got because the chair rollers would gouge tracks which would then split apart.

High Pile Carpet Chair Mat

Overall would rate as average. Nice size for my application. Used for a couple of weeks and noticed some carpet creep and the shiny surface shows scuff marks easily. The chair wheels make indentations but they rebound quickly. The surface has a smooth comfortable feel that doesn't feel too hard.

Third time around

They advertise that they are for carpets over a half inch thick. Ours is 3/4". We are on our third one of these vinyl mats. They work for a while but eventually depress under the wheels of the computer chair and then the mat cracked and eventually pieces broke free. The first one was replaced after about a year but shipping was $30 so it wasn't exactly free replacement. We are just going with this one again because of the ease of purchasing it near our home. The polycarbonate mats are supposedly resistant to the breakage but are more costly. When this one finally breaks maybe we will try the poly ones.

For the price it doesn't feel like it will hold up nearly as long as the mat it is replacing. When it was initially delivered the mat had two obvious broken spots that could be seen by the delivery person who decided to drop it off by our door without alerting us the delivery was being made. I had to call in and request a replacement which was handled courteously and quickly by Staples.
