Large and Just Right

I love this chair mat. I have used other brands from other stores and thy do not compare to the Staples branded mat. It stays in place The edges are beveled so if you do roll your chair off you can easily roll back on to the mat. It is tough enough to handle all day in your chair rolling around yet pliable to add extra cushion for your chair on wheels. And it is heavy and heavy duty. When it was handed to me by the delivery driver I was impressed by the weight of the mat. Yes it is expensive but worth it.

Beware of the coloring

I have ordered matts at staples for the past 10 years. This is the first one that is not truly clear in color. It is as exactly as it appears (which I really didn't pay attention to since I never had this happen before) and it will look like a light grey matt sitting on your carpet and will not let the natural carpet coloring show through. If this bothers you do not order this-find a truly clear one

What a surprise

I have just recarpeted the office with a fairly low pile carpet and standard padding. Approx ½" deep overall. In order to protect the carpet from my office chair I purchased this chair mat. After unrolling it it took about 2 days to flatten out and gave off a lot of fumes. Overnight my 5 legged office chair makes 5 shallow dents in the mat. When I sit in the chair for a while the mat developes fairly deep dents that require effort to roll out of. I weigh 230#. I feel that a mat that is this expensive should not be this weak.

A 5 caster chair even when empty overnight leaves indents and then won't roll easily. Mat needs to be of a harder material. I have had one in the past and did not do this.

This seems to work well for what I needed. It is very large and I feel sure that I will get my money's worth out of it. I did have a coupon to use so that helped a LOT!!
