The chair mat that I purchased is extremely soft. It conforms to the chair rollers making it difficult to move. I would not recommend its use with plush carpet.

This is used on a low pile carpet in our office and it works out great. We've be using them purchased four for 4 weeks now with no issues.

I bought this to help my aching knees from constantly trying to push myself around on carpet and it doesn't appear that it will help much. Rolling around on it takes almost as much effort as it does on the thin carpeting we have. It arrived in a roll and when trying to remove the tape holding it together it left behind a lot of the gum - so now my feet stick to it. Definitely not happy with it.

Not very impressed with the thin and flimsy design. This is mid-range priced for a very cheap product. Much greater thickness is required for any carpet application (even lower pile).
