Mat is of sturdy construction very clean rectangular design. Slides a bit on repeated movement could use tacky backing on one side to help resist sliding effects on hardwood floors.

I recently purchased the Staples Hard Floor Mat 46x60. It came quickly rolled loosely and only took a day or so to lay flat. It works beautifully under my desk and chair. Thus far I would strongly recommend this product due to price quality and service.

This artist's studio now sports a neat sturdy and compact large floor mat to protect the broadloom when the painter "tears loose". It's a lot nicer than an oil cloth! Economical enough so that it can be replaced when it gets too covered with paint droppings. The cat loves it too!

Product is nice and thin yet overall heavy which gives a good impression of durability. My dismay is the condition in which it was delivered. The shipping tape residue was the easy part to clean off. The long black ink type streaks not only on outer roll but within the roll were a dickens to remove. Also had red ink marks which were tough clean off. The roll was not wrapped in paper sp therefore it was dirty as if driven over in the warehouse. Was this used before? Having to clean this before placing down was an inconvenience not expected especially for the price.

The mat is perfect

I got the mat and put it down under my chair and desk. I spend about 3-4 hours in the chair a day (it's in my office). My chair does not slide out when I sit on it and does not wander when I want to stay still. Some people have commented on inadequate thickness so I looked at that characteristic before I laid it down. Personally for my bamboo floor I would not want it any thicker - it would feel like falling off of a cliff when I rolled off the edge. It has a professional look and feel to it. I have no complaints.
