When it says low pile it means LOW PILE

This mat should only be used on very thin carpeting. The description says low pile and that is very important. The cleats make it unsuitable for bare floors.
The mat has shallow teeth and does not cling to the carpet as it should. The office chair feet sink into the mat and the chair is VERY hard to roll across the mat. Then the mat has little valleys where the chair has been. Very flimsy construction. [...] For the price it should be four times the quality.
Chairmat Models 20236-CC 20362-CC Pegs/cleats measure less than 2/16" and are not long enough for high piled carpet. Mat slides around. (3) Products over six days arrived labeled either 20236 and 20362 omitting the suffix "-CC" on each mat delivered. Customer Service led me to believe that the suffix "-CC" did not describe length of peg/cleats. Hours spent trying to order a chair mat with peg/cleats greater than 3/16" and eventually refunded both orders.
I use two mats to cover areas in my art studio where I paint and do mixed media pieces. The room had been newly carpeted when I purchased my condo and I did not want to rip up the carpet to put down flooring. The room looks excellent since the mats are clear and show the carpet colour. Now I don't have to worry about paint spills as they are easily wiped up. I will likely purchase one more mat to use where I store my mobility scooter as that area is also carpeted. This way the carpet will stay nice and the scooter which I use all year around is now not a worry to me when the wheels are wet/snow covered since I can easily mop up the wetness and salt residue. These mats are the perfect solution to help me keep the carpets looking their best!
