Works well and protects the carpet. I probably should have purchased the mat for thicker carpet but it works for me as is. The chair rolls well on it and the mat stays in place fairly well.

This chair mat is the first time that I had one that is too soft lack of better words. When sitting in the chair and I try to roll it to another position the chair gets hung up in the depressions in the mat. The mat is on a low pile carpet and I never had experience this before. It is a good one for the smaller size area that I was requiring.
