The mat was not strong enough for my chair. It left divets in the mat that made it hard to roll on. They didn't go away over night.

It's ok for the price but the chair casters are putting serious dents into it and I doubt it will last long. It is on a rug that is at most medium pile. I didn't realize this would happen when I bought it or I would have spent more on a different kind. My recommendation for anyone looking for a mat is clearly understand your need and buy quality to match.

The "Staples® Flat Pile Carpet Chair Mat 36" x 48" Lip" isn't a great fit for the L-shaped desk I have. It fits just right up against the sides of the desk so I can't go a size larger; however the lip isn't wide enough and the front right wheel tends to fall off. I also find that if I roll too far away from the center of the desk the back wheel falls off the mat. If I had the keyboard installed in the corner of the L-shaped desk this would not work at all. However it works sufficiently since the keyboard is located facing forward.

Didn't realize how bad my old chair mat felt and looked until got this new one. Makes my whole office look brand new by replacing mat. Great price for a really good mat.

This mat protects the carpet and stays steady and doesn't move when I roll my chair back and forth. I love that the small insert fits neatly under my desk. All in all I am quite pleased and would definitely recommend it.

Loving the chair mat

I purchased the flat pile carpet chair mat with lip and it blends in well with the carpet and the chair rolls nicely over it. It also prevented a stain on the carpet when a cup of hot tea was spilled on the mat instead of on the carpet and it was very easy to wipe up the spill on the mat. I enjoy shopping at the Zanesville OH Staples store because the employees are so friendly and helpful and altho they are busy they seem to always take time to help a customer. Dodi Johnny and the rest of the gang are great employees and I hope you realize what a wonderful job they are doing. They deserve your recognition. I did not know any of these employees until I met them at Staples and I now consider them to be my friends. Thank you for such an enjoyable office supply store to shop in.
