Material is thick enough and pliable so it doesn’t crack but i’v only had it a short time so will have to see how well it holds up.

I am disapointed in staples. I went to your bradenton store and spoke to a very large man about this product versus a higher grade one. He readily admitted he was a very large man and said that this was his choicehad been using it for several years and it had not worn out. I've had it for several weeks and can hardly roll my chair over it.I guess my next choice will be another store. It's not a problem today because I'm in my northern home. But when I come back to Florida I expect it will be junk. Why not just be truthful and say "buy a higher grade one". brian costello [@]
I purchased this because it was on sale and inexpensive.I have it in my living room at my computer desk. I have Persian carpet down and it very quickly left deep indents under the wheels. The mat would be fine on hard floors but I do not recomend ton use it on deep pile carpet.

Good chair mat; lasts three to four years

This is the second chair mat I've purchased from Staples. It works fine on carpets of various thickness. It's smaller than some I've had previously but that actually works better for my desk and office. The spikes on the carpet side are considerably smaller than my previous mats which also is better. As with other mats I've had it starts to crack after three or four years and I'm not that heavy at 150 pounds plus the weight of my rolling desk chair. So again the mat works fine and if and when it starts to crack just get a new one.
