If you have a hardwood tile floor etc. it will be fine. It's just too thin and pliable for carpet--the chair wheels sink in.

This is a good very economical chair mat. It is a bit on the small size but otherwise works fine for my home office. Seems to be best suited for smaller spaces and less than heavy duty use which is what I need. I do roll off the mat when pushing back from the desk.
