At least once per week I have to move my chair and pull the pad out from the desk because it creeps. It is a little "soft" and the chair casters tend to sink in some and you need a little effort to overcome the "holes".

Better than no chair mat but a bit thin unless your carpet is the short/firm office type pile. Our carpet is a little plush and the mat develops dents if I leave the chair in one place for too long.

I liked to say it works great but the bad part about it is that it keeps moving on the carpet. It should have pointed grippers on it instead of square grippers to keep it in place. It is very irritating to have to keep moving it back in place.
