I've bought this mat before and it's the one thing that every home office needs. In time the plastic will start to crack and break but that's probably a good 10 years down the road. Since most people get complacent about vacuuming and cleaning "office" carpets be aware that the mat will leave a distinguishable mark in a couple years depending on the amount of foot traffic.

I'm not that large of a person but after just 3 or 4 minutes depressions form under each of the chairs rollers that are difficult to roll out of. The price was attractive but turns out to have been a waste of money.
