I purchased two of these chairmats for a home office. They work so well and it's nice to know that the new carpet won't be damaged by rolling office chairs. Only con was the strong plastic smell when I first purchased them.

I bought this product so my rolling chair would not grab at the carpet. Unfortunately I did not read the full 'recommendation' for the product as I have thick carpet with padding. This mat does not grip the thick carpet and I am constantly having to reposition it because it slides. It might work on the carpet without padding and is listed in the description (which I read after purchasing).

Does the job for the most part as long as you don't need to move too far out of place. Even though the dimensions are listed the total area in practice is too small and makes it difficult if you have to veer away anywhere other than from directly in the installed location but that would explain the special economy pricing.
